Privacy Policy
Mindful AI, Inc. ("Mindful AI," "we," "us") operates the Mindful Space app (the "App"). This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and your choices.
Mindful Space is an AI emotional-companion app. Your messages are sent to a third-party AI provider (Anthropic) to generate responses — see Section 4.
The App is offered only to users in the United States and is intended for adults 18 and older.

2. Not Medical or Crisis Care
Mindful Space is not a therapist, medical provider, or crisis service, and does not provide professional advice. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline) in the U.S.
3. Data We Collect
- Account info: You sign in with Apple or Google. We do not collect or store a password. We may receive your name and email address (or a private relay email if you use Apple's "Hide My Email").
- Your messages: The messages you send and the responses generated are stored so you can continue past conversations.
- Diagnostics: Basic crash and error data needed to keep the App working.
We do not collect your precise location.
4. Third-Party AI (Anthropic)
To generate responses, the content of your messages is sent from your device to our AI provider, Anthropic, PBC, which operates the AI models powering the App. Anthropic processes this content to produce the reply returned to you, and acts as our service provider for this purpose.
You are asked to agree to this before you start chatting. We do not authorize the use of your messages to train third-party AI models.
5. How We Use Data
We use your data only to operate the App: generating responses, maintaining your conversation history and continuity, keeping the App secure, and fixing problems. We do not use your messages for advertising.
6. We Do Not Sell or Share Your Data
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. The only third parties that process your data are the service providers that help us run the App (Section 8).
7. Data Retention
Messages are kept for up to six months, then summarized into a long-term memory record so your companion maintains continuity, after which the original messages are deleted. You can delete your conversations and your account anytime in the App's settings. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your data, except where retention is required by law.

9. Your Rights
You may request to access, delete, or correct your data, and California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to limit use of sensitive personal information. To exercise any right, email hello@mindfulai.io or use the in-app delete tools. We do not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
10. Children
The App is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us data, email hello@mindfulai.io and we will delete it.
11. Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted data transport and access controls, to protect your data. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, noticed in the App.
